Jim Burgess

Granite Falls – James “Jim” N. Burgess, age 57, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Holyoke, MA on June 28, 1960 to the late Richard and Henriette Vaillancourt. Jim was a member of Baton United Methodist Church and worked for the United States Postal Service in Hickory until his health declined. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Russell and Donald Burgess. Jim is survived by his wife, Lisa White Burgess; daughters, Kari and Kori Burgess; brother, Edward Burgess and sisters, Deborah Batchelor; Patricia Derosier; Pamela Knapp; and Cynthia White; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Baton United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
