Jill Huntley Griffin

Jill Huntley Griffin, age 86, of Lenoir NC went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Frye Hospital after experiencing declining health and then an unexpected illness.

Jill was born on July 23, 1937 to the late Jay Huntley and Ethel Berry Huntley of Lenoir NC.

Including her parents, Jill was preceded in death by her brother; Robert “Bobby” Bryan Huntley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son; Larry L. Griffin Jr. and wife Jackie of Vale NC, grandchildren; Jeremy, Caleb, and Sierra Griffin and also a great-granddaughter; Ava Griffin.

Before her illnesses, Jill liked to travel and try new foods. She loved all animals, enjoyed reading, and studying history. She also was a fan of sports, such as Carolina Tar Heels Basketball, Atlanta Braves Baseball, and auto racing.

A Funeral Service to honor Jill will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at Evans Funeral Service. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
