Jewell Crotts Austin

Lenoir, NC- Jewell Crotts Austin, age 88, of Lenoir, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Lenoir HealthCare Center after an extended illness. Born December 18, 1918 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Austin was a daughter of the late Rome and Minnie Barnett Crotts and the wife of the late Russell M. Austin. Mrs. Austin was a retired beautician. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Howard N. Crotts and a sister, Pearl Crotts Triplett. A private graveside service will be conducted in the Zack?s Fork Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
