Jesse Wayne Townsend

Jesse Townsend, 66, of Hudson, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Jesse was born on May 3, 1958, to the late Leonard and Zada Townsend.

In addition to his parents, Jesse is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Townsend and sister, Martha Ann Townsend.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Patricia Townsend; daughter; Hollie Burress (Casey); son, Bradley Townsend (Portia); grandchildren, Garrison, Kendel, Caden, Zada, Micah, Luna, and Noah; great grandchild on the way; sisters, Dessie Davis, Alma Johnson and numerous other relatives.

Jesse was a hardworking man whose goal was to take care of his family.  He was a very selfless man.  Jesse, when he was younger, he loved to trout fish, loved to go camping with family, he was a master of Sudoku, and he loved the beach.  Jesse was an avid Chase Elliott Nascar fan.  Jesse was referred as the “Mayor” of Greenbrooke by his neighbors.  He never missed any of his kids or grandkids sporting events.  He was definitely the greatest husband, father, grandfather and brother on earth.  Though Jesse will be missed, we are grateful that he is no longer in pain and walking with Jesus. He is rejoicing with family in Heaven driving his truck and will always be with his family in their future endeavors.

The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Service on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

The funeral service date and time will be determined at a later date.
