Lenoir –Mr. Jesse Walter Suddreth, age 82, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.Born May 31, 1933 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late Walter Alexander Sudderth and Emma Adeline Curtis Suddreth and the husband of Mrs. Peggy Keller Suddreth to whom they shared 62 years of marriage. Mr. Suddreth was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church for over 75 years where he served as a deacon for many years and was recognized as a lifelong deacon.He had also served as an usher.He had a strong love for children and older people and was known to be very active in the community helping and serving wherever there was a need. Jesse had worked for Broyhill Furniture for over 60 years and retired as a divisional plant manager. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by 10 siblings, John Suddreth, Mattie Lackey, Greene Suddreth, Robert Sudderth, James Suddreth, Raymond Sudderth, Charles Suddreth, Doyle Suddreth, Joe Suddreth and Spencer Suddreth. Surviving other than his wife Peggy is his daughter, Cynthia Suddreth Parsons and husband Michael of Lenoir; a brother, Jay Suddreth of Patterson; three grandchildren, Matthew Ray Parsons and wife Marla of Lenoir; Thomas Jesse Parsons of Granite Falls; LeahBeth Parsons Hubbard and husband Dee of Lenoir; four great-grandchildren, Mariah Parsons, Madilyn Parsons, Grace Parsons, Colton Hubbard and a host of nieces, nephews. A Graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Robert Livingston officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall at Yadkin Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 3:30 until 5:00 p.m. with a celebration of Jesse’s life to follow in the Sanctuary with Reverend Robert Livingston and Reverend Stuart White officiating.
