Jesse Braswell, Jr.

Mr. Jesse Woodrow Braswell, Jr., age 69, of Granite Falls passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at his home.

Born September 24, 1952 in Chatham County, Georgia, Jesse was the son of the late Jesse Braswell, Sr. and Elvy Lee Braswell.  Jesse was a graduate of Auburn University in 1974.  He remained a fan of Auburn throughout the years.  He received his Masters of Business Degree in 1991 from Charleston Southern University.  He was an avid golfer and loved music.  The most important things in his life were his love for the Lord and his family, especially his wife, Karen Braswell.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Karen Braswell; his children, Christen Embry (husband Chris), James “Rusty” Braswell, Tyler Braswell, Kelly Sawyer (husband Brett), Jason Nichols and Nicole Carpenter (husband Jeremy); two sisters, Patsy Cahill and Angie Erler; he is survived by 12 grandchildren who affectionately called him “Pops” and numerous other relatives.

A memorial service celebrating Jesse’s life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Pastor Todd Braswell officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
