Jesse I. Baldwin

Hudson, NC- Mr. Jesse I. Baldwin, age 79 of Hudson, died Thursday, February 1, 2007 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born May 3, 1927 in Wilkes County, Mr. Baldwin was a son of the late Charles and Mammie Combs Baldwin and the husband of Iona B. Baldwin of the home. Mr. Baldwin was a woodworking foreman and affiliated with Covenant Baptist Church. Other than his wife, he is survived by 5 sons, Robert (Tommy) Fox of Lake Norman; James (Pete) Fox of San Antonio, Texas; Jesse Baldwin of Lake Placid, FL; Larry Baldwin of Hudson; Mark Baldwin of Conover; 6 daughters, Patti Walsh of Millers Creek; Linda Green of Inman, SC; Helen Martinez of Arlington, VA; Carolyn Muniz of Lake Norman; Melody Truesdale of Morganton; Cathy Nichols of Hudson; 19 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Iva Jean Baldwin and one grandchild, Pepe Martinez. A private memorial service will be held Sunday at Covenant Baptist Church with Reverend David Bean and Reverend Earl Wilcox officiating.
