Jerry Dean Younce

Jerry Dean Younce, 75, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2022. Jerry was born on January 4, 1947 in Caldwell County to the late Wade and Agnes Younce. Jerry was married to Janice Younce for 53 years. Jerry served in the United States Army. Jerry was widely known and beloved in the community as the owner of Corner Stone Christian Bookstore and Deli. Jerry was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his infant son Steven Dean Younce. He is also preceded in death by his brothers: Harold Younce, Jimmy Younce, Bobby Younce, and Wayne Younce. In addition to his wife, those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Sandra McLeod and husband Chris, and two grandchildren Jacob McLeod and Emily McLeod. He is survived by his siblings: Brenda Clement, Shirley Younce, and Donald Younce and wife Pearl. Jerry leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. There will be a service held at Evans Funeral Chapel on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 3:00 pm; officiated by Rev. Mike Issacs. The family will receive guests from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be left to Gideon’s International or Amorem Hospice of Caldwell County. Military honors provided by NC National Guard and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
