Jerry Walsh

Mr. Jerry Lee Walsh, age 58 of Hickory, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness. Born June 21, 1957 in Lenoir, NC, he was the son of Roy Hugh “Jack” Walsh (deceased) and Violet (Vannoy) Walsh. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and a long time employee of Wyke’s Laundry and Cleaners, Hickory, NC. Other than his Mother, he is survived by his children, Jeremy Walsh and wife, Heather; Lindsay Walsh Wenzel and husband, Dayton;five siblings, Roy H. Walsh Jr, Donna (Walsh) Thornburg, Cathy (Walsh) Grant, Charles T. Walsh, and Timothy J. Walsh, and four grandchildren, Kaden, Kaleb and Karson Wenzel and Kyleigh Walsh; and his beloved dog AJ. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 4:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 with Reverend Todd Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to YMCA-Hickory, NC.
