Hudson, NC- Jerry Lee Puett went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Memorial Hospital in Asheville, NC. Jerry was born on October 18, 1963 to Bobby Wayne and Bernadine Puett. He was a native of Caldwell County and resided in Hudson. He was employed by Caldwell Woodcarving and Townsend’s Cleaning Service. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Wayne Puett, and his infant sister, Kristy LeAnn Puett. He is survived by his mother, Bernadine Smith Puett Bradley, his step-father, Whick Bradley, twin sister, Terri Townsend and husband Charles of Hudson, sister, Kim Woods and husband Rev. David Woods, step-sisters, Natalie Guyon and husband Peter of Colorado, Laura Woodard and husband Travis of California, Shauna Bradley of California, step-brothers, Chris Bradley and Sierra of California, and Justin Bradley and wife, Alissa of California. Nieces and nephews: Joshua Triplett, (twins) Melinda and Miranda Townsend, Alex and wife Ashley, Matthew and  wife Heather, Elizabeth Woods, Adam and Samantha Guyon, Isabella Bradley, Ryan Woodard. Great- niece Emma Robinson, great-nephews: Aiden Triplett and Parker Woods. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Sunrise Baptist Church from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. A celebration will immediately follow. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Sunrise Baptist Church with Reverend David Woods and Brother Alex Woods officiating. Burial will take place at Yellowhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherokee, NC at 4:00 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be: Mr. Alex Woods, Mr. Matthew Woods, Mr. Charles Townsend, Mr. Tony Crowe, Mr. Tyler Bumgarner, Mr. Koty Kirby, and Mr. Wyatt Bumgarner. Honorary Pallbearers are Mr. Ray Shew, Mr. Terry Johnson, Mr. Doug Johnson, and Mr. Jim Williams. In lieu of flowers, Jerry requested a donation of canned goods be collected and given to people in need. Baskets will be placed in the church during the receiving and funeral.
