Jerry Gragg

Mr. Jerry Lewis Gragg Sr., age 80, of Lenoir passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. Born February 28, 1939 in Avery county, Jerry was a son of the late Grant G. and Earlene Davis Gragg.Jerry was a veteran of the US Army and served during Korea.He was owner and operator Jerry’s Appliances.He also worked at Home Electric and Hickory Springs. Jerry was most passionate about spending time with his family, fishing and spending time in the mountains.In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Anderson; two sisters, Loretta Miller and Evelyn Church; brothers, Ronald Gragg, Enloe Gragg and Terry Gragg. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Alma Sue Crump Gragg;a daughter, Ginger Carol Gragg; a son, Jerry Lewis Gragg, Jr. ( wife Katherine); four grandchildren, Holly Roten (husband Michael), Justine Oliver, Kayla Gragg and Mitchell Gragg; his great grandchildren, Jozlin Oliver, Jacob Prestwood, Natali Roten, Nathan Roten and Raylan Price; a sister, Phyllis Coffey (husband Charles); a son in law, James “Jim” Anderson; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.
