Granite Falls, NC –Jerry “J.C.”Lynn Clarke, age 59, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on July 22, 1953 to the late Eulis Clarke and Verdie Pritchard Clarke Roberts. He was married for 35 years to Donna Milhorne Clarke of the residence. J.C. was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved to go fishing, camping, bike riding and spending time with his family was of Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Ernest Roberts; son-in-law, Lucas Reece; and brother-in-law, Jerry Hartley. Other than his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sherry L. Pearson and husband, Tony; daughter, Mindy Reece; daughter, Michelle Clarke; son, Jason Clarke; sisters, Kathy Hartley; Sandra Threewitt and husband, Chuck; and Joanne Carlisle and husband, Robert; and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service for J.C. will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 4:00 with Pastor Bill Bentley officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 prior to the service.
