Jerri Lane Brawley Pipes

Jerri Lane Brawley Pipes, 79, born on July 6, 1940, went to be with Jesus on March 1, 2020. Jerri was married to Marshall Wayne Pipes for 64 years. Jerri was a member at Yadkin Baptist Church, and served as a Media Library Assistant and served with the Prayer Shawl Ministry in creating hundreds of prayer shawls for the sick and elderly. She was employed in the furniture industry and later at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Jerri was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family. Jerri always had a heart to serve others in their needs. Jerri enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and crocheting. Jerri always had her door open for friends, family, and neighbors. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Jerri was preceded in death by her parents Jack Neil Brawley and Lena Hartley Brawley. She was, also, preceded in death by a brother, Neil William Brawley. In addition to her husband, Jerri is survived by her daughter Jerri Darlene Townsend and her husband David and her daughter Deena Suddreth and husband Marc. She is survived by her grandchildren: Kristin Elaine Harrison and husband Brandon, Bradley Suddreth, and Lindsey Suddreth. Jerri leaves behind two great-grandchildren: Ella Lane Harrison and Zayla Marie Patterson. She is survived by her brother Jim Brawley and wife Joy and sister-in-law Mary. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a service to honor Jerri’s life held on Friday, March 6 at 11:00 am at Yadkin Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Daren Smart and Rev. Stuart White. The family will receive guests on Thursday, March 5 from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the chapel of Evans Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Medi Home Health and Hospice at 1955 Newland Highway, Newland, NC 28657.
