GRANITE FALLS – Jeffrey Blake Holsclaw, 52, of Granite Falls, died Tuesday morning, February 16th, 2016, after a long illness. He was surrounded by his family as he battled his illness and greeted by his daddy, brothers, grands he never got to meet, grandparents and friends as he walked into the gates of Heaven. He was born in Caldwell County on May 24, 1963. Jeff was the son of Floyd Winfred Holsclaw and Willis Decker Holsclaw of Lenoir. Jeff was a loving son, father, papaw, uncle, brother, friend and” Wasband”. He was a career law enforcement officer with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department and took great pride in serving and protecting his community. Jeff was the happiest when he was spending time with his family, all gathered for any occasion. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was of the nondenominational faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd; and his brothers; Roger Dale Holsclaw, Tony Wayne Holsclaw and Barry Keith Holsclaw, maternal grandparents, Roby and Maude Decker; and paternal grandparents, Carl and Martha Holsclaw. Those remaining to love and cherish the memory of Jeff and to mourn his passing include his wonderful mother, Willis Decker Holsclaw, of Lenoir, North Carolina; his beautiful daughter, Christina Holsclaw Chambers (Justin), of Hickory, North Carolina; his best friend and son, Kyle Garrison Holsclaw, of Connelly Springs, North Carolina; his three little buddies and grandsons; Grayson Andrew Chambers, Gabriel Tyler Chambers and Jaylen Craig Winebarger, of Hickory, North Carolina; a sister, Patricia Ann Hudson of Lenoir; his advocate and forever friend, Amy Chawne Holsclaw, of Connelly Springs, North Carolina; his very special in-laws; Pepper and Marvin Stafford, of Taylorsville, North Carolina and Gary and Candis Dickinson and their children, of Taylorsville, North Carolina; his prayer warriors; Jimmy and Angel Earp of Lenoir, North Carolina; his long time, four-legged companion; Bonnie; along with nieces, nephew, great-nephew and great-niece; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and fellow law enforcement officers. A Celebration of his life will be conducted by Brother Jimmy Earp at Evans Funeral Service & Crematory on Saturday, February 27th, 2016. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 with a service to follow at 2pm. Friends will gather at the home of Amy Holsclaw afterwards for fellowship at 111 Campus Street, Connelly Springs, NC. ALL are welcome.
