Jeffrey Gearhart

Lenoir – Jeffrey Allen Gearhart Sr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday April 21, 2015.Born on August 6, 1968, Jeff was 46 years old. Jeff, a Pastor of Community Chapel Church, had a great love for his family but an even greater love for the Lord.His only desire was for everyone to be with him in Heaven.He believed and said that if you haven’t accepted the Lord then Don’t Wait. Jeff often said that “all you have is right here and right now”. He was always there to lend a helping hand. On a beautiful Tuesday in April of 2015, Jeff has finished his race. In addition to his service in his local church community, Jeff also worked for several years in the furniture business, and for the last 10 years at Hickory Business Furniture. Preceding Jeff in death is his father and mother; Harold Duane Gearhart, Sr. and Arlene June Fouts Gearhart, his brother Harold Duane Gearhart Jr. “Buddy” and his grandchild. Surviving Jeff in life is his wife Lorie Gearhart, his stepmother; Kathy Miles Gearhart, his two children; Jeffrey Jr. and wife Ashley, and Jennifer Dorff and husband Eric, his four sisters; Nancy Gearhart Nolan, Barbara Gearhart Hamm and husband James, Kim Gearhart Hogan and husband Fred, and sister Joie Gearhart.Also surviving Jeff are his grandchildren; Kylie and Alani Gearhart and Jeff was expecting a third grandchild. A Celebration of Jeff’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM at West Lenoir Baptist Church, 311 Abington Road, Lenoir, NC with Pastor Rick Safriet, Pastor James Lockee and Pastor and best friend Dennis Geouge officiating. The Gearhart family will be receiving friends and family on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at West Lenoir Baptist Church.
