Jeffrey Allen Duffey

Granite Falls, NC- Jeffrey “Jeff” Allen Duffey, age 47, of Granite Falls, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir. Born August 19, 1963 in Catawba County, Jeff was the son of the late Melvin Nelson Duffey and Mrs. Jeanette Cannon Duffey of Granite Falls. Jeff was a 1981 graduate of South Caldwell High School. His first love was music and he was the drummer for several bands over the past years. He had a passion and love for people as he never met a stranger. Other than his father, Jeffrey was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Frank Cannon and his Paternal Grandparents, Paul nelson and Pear Lee Keller Duffey. Surviving other than his mother is his Maternal Grandmother, Louise Campbell Cannon of Granite Falls and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held 4:00 PM Friday, April 8, 2011 at Dry Ponds Baptist Church with Dr. Rick Crouse and Reverend Rick Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:30 until 4:00 PM, prior to the service at Dry Ponds Baptist Church.
