Jeffery Scott Key

Jeffery Scott Key passed away February 16, 2023, from a brief illness.  He was born in Caldwell County on July 3, 1960 to the late William Stanley Key and Leavon (Bonnie) Lail Key.

Jeffery was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness on November 23, 1997.  He loved Jehovah and his wonderful provisions of his Kingdom.  He whole heartedly believed in the resurrection hope and that gave him comfort.

He is survived by his brothers William Sherman Key, and wife Debbie of Myrtle Beach, SC; Brian Key of Vale; Joey and Beverly Key of Lenoir; sister, Donna Key Haas (AKA Snookey) and husband Timothy Haas of Connelly Springs, NC; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

He loved going to car shows, fishing, camping and going to auctions.  He was very talented and a master at building model cars.  One of his favorite things to do was going to his nephews Bentley and Sawyers sporting events.  He was their biggest fan!  He was the best side kick to have around; he was always up for any adventure.

He will be extremely missed by his family and friends.

There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1628 Main St E Valdese, NC 28690.  Elder Don Slizewski will be officiating the service.

The family request any contributions be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Valdese, NC for the Worldwide Work.
