Jeff Adkins

With saddened but joyous hearts we tell of Jeff’s final steps into the Glory of Heaven.Jeff was born December 17, 1965, the son of Bill and Pat Adkins of Lenoir.Jeff stepped into Heaven to see our Lord and Savior August 18, 2021 in Robbins Hospice. Jeff had battled the disease of alcoholism for many years.Throughout that time our family has traveled many miles on this journey with Jeff in love and encouragement.In Jeff’s memory please give words of love and kindness to someone you may know who is struggling with their own addictions. Survivors include daughters, Ashley and Ally Adkins; sisters, Cindy (Travis) Pipes and Hope Adkins Mabe; two nieces, Trystan Pipes and Kyla Mabe; nephew, Mac Mabe.He was preceded in death by his best friend and brother, Monty. Graveside services were held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Reverend Jim Hamby. We are very grateful to the nursing and respiratory staff of UNC Healthcare.Thank you for your patience, love and compassion given to Jeff and our family during such stressful times.And a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Robbins Hospice and especially to his friend and doctor, Marc P.
