Jean Waters

Jean Waters, age 82 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1939 in Ashe County to the late Will Pilkenton and Marie Church Pilkenton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Jewel Dean Pilkenton. She is survived by a son Donnie Waters and wife Peggy; sister, Carolyn Nichols; nephews Ted and Marty Nichols; niece SFC DeAndree Watson; grandson, Hunter Waters; granddaughter Donna; Stepdaughter, Janet Huffman. She was known as a loving and giving person who always put family and others first. She was a supervisor at Tyson where she was employed for 55 years. She thought of her employees as family. Memorial Service will be held at Center Baptist Church Saturday at 3:00 with Pastor David Key officiating.The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 prior to the service.
