Jean Greer

Lenoir – Jean Greer, age 79, passed away peacefully with her family beside her on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Caldwell County on December 31, 1943 to the late Charles Branch and Fannie Navy Branch. She was married to Raymond Greer of the residence for more than 60 years. She was the love of his life and always will be.

Jean was a loving wife and Christian mother to her two sons, Gregory Alan Greer and Bryan Lee Greer, whom she loved with all her heart. She worked as a hairdresser and was an accomplished artist. Jean was a longtime member of Calvary Advent Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Junior Mae Pope and Allie Lambert; brothers, Bill Branch; Paul Branch; Fred Branch; and Bob Branch.

Jean is also survived by her sisters, Nora Benfield; Ruby Dula and Linda Denny; and numerous other family members.

A memorial service celebrating Jean’s life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to their pastor, Jim Lee and the members of Calvary Advent Christian Church for their love, support and prayers. They would also like to thank the staff at Amorem for the excellent care and support given to Jean.
