Jean Barlow Lenoir- Mrs. Ruby Jean Williams Barlow, age 79, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice. She was born on March 13, 1936 to the late James “Tillman” Williams and Evelyn Plemmons Williams. Mrs. Barlow attended Kings Creek Baptist Church and for many years she volunteered countless hours at the Lenoir Moose Lodge, where she was affectionately known as Nanny. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Barlow; step-mother, Nola Williams; brothers, Ray Williams, Clyde Williams and Claude Williams and Larry Williams; sisters, Dorothy Williams Sabo; Pat Williams Foust; step-son, Jerry “Cricket” Barlow; and step-sister, Marie Reese Pierce. Mrs. Barlow is survived by her children, Tommy Barlow; Carolyn Barlow Benfield; Jody Barlow; Holly Maness and husband, Tim; step-daughters, Terrie Weaver and husband, Charlie; Betsy Fischer; Hanna Satterfield; sisters, Betty Jo Sawyer and husband, Jimmie; Reathel Leuhsler and husband, Karl; step-brothers, J.B. Reese and David Reese; grandchildren, Heidi Barlow; Hillary Benfield; Shelby Benfield; Brooklyn Benfield; Allister Maness; step-grandchildren, Todd Rader; Paul Rader, Jr.; Corey Weaver; Toni Sanchez and husband, Tony; great-grandchildren, Lexi Laws; Caden McLeod; KylieMcBride; Brynn Townsend; step-great-grandchildren, Leilani Sanchez and Karson Sanchez. A celebration of Mrs. Barlow’s life will be held at Kings Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:30 AM with Pastor Randy Goode officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Woods, David Walker, David Miller, Wayne Maltba, Kyle Toliver and Donnie Coffey.
