J.D. Wilson Huskey

Granite Falls, NC- J.D. Wilson Huskey, age 66, of Granite Falls, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 at his home. Born August 13, 1944 in Maryville, Tennessee, J.D. was a son of the late Jesse Earnest and Jessie Hazel Moore Huskey. J.D. worked as a molder operator in the furniture industry for many years. He enjoyed Hunting & Fishing. He was a carpenter and enjoyed building things. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Huskey; and several brothers. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Tripplett Huskey of the Home; two daughters and a son in law. Pamela Meadows of Lenoir and Donna Kay and Larry Guy of Hudson; five grandchildren, five grandchildren, Gabriel Lee Jones, Samantha Jeanette Jones, Brent Jordan Guy, Joshua Ray Huskey, and Amanda Kay Bumgarner; he is also survived by three sisters, three brothers, nine grandchildren and numerous other relatives. A graveside celebration of J.D.’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Johnny Creech officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 PM  until 8:00 PM at the residence.
