Jb Hood

Lenoir – JB Hood, Jr., age 91, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Caldwell Hospice Robbins Center. He was born in Caldwell County on November 30, 1929 to the late James Albert Hood and Martha Gilland Hood. JB worked for Broyhill Furniture Industries for over 40 years and served in the National Guard for 11 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Mitchell Hood; daughter, Brenda Wolfe; son, Eddie Hood; one brother and one sister. JB is survived by his son, John Hood and wife, Debbie; daughters, Wanda Winebarger and husband, Bynum; Kathy Hollingsworth; brother, Robert Hood and wife, Betty; his sister, Faye Huskey; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service celebrating JB’s life will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tim Elliot officiating.
