Mr. Jason Boyd Drum, age 41, of Mount Herman Road, Hudson, NC, passed away peacefully attended to by family members on the 20th day of August 2018.He was born October 15, 1976 in Catawba County, North Carolina to Charles “Chip” Drum of Sawmills and Deborah L. Dotson of Lenoir.He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Jim and Molly Drum and maternal grandparents, Ray and Betty Dotson. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three beautiful children, Carson Boyd Drum, London Lowman, and Jaelyn Leigh Drum; aunts and uncles, Steve and Debbie Rector, Larry and Elaine Drum, Cheryl Drum, Kenneth and Kathy Dotson, Darian and Kristy Dotson, and Steve Dotson; step-mother, Scottie Drum; and two little friends and cousins, Davie and Jamie.He is also blessed to be survived by a second set of parents, Larry and Vickie Winters. Jason was a very loving man and he never met a stranger.He loved being outdoors and spent his life working outside as a general handyman, trimming trees, landscaping, and painting.He really enjoyed drawing, sketching, and building things with his hands. Jason was a dreamer, he was always talking about what he really wanted out of life, if only his life had been different.One of the biggest dreams was to have a home with the love of his life, Brandy, and all of his children with him, but like all his dreams they were stolen away by drugs.His dreams will never be stolen again and he is at peace and in his eternal home in heaven.We love you “Jaybird”. The family will receive family and friends at Crossroads Community Church, Cajah Mountain Road, Hudson, NC, on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 5:00-6:00 pm.The Memorial Service will be held immediately after at the church at 6:00 pm.
