Biography Call to Order Flowers by Phone 1-877-212-3610 Code: 2002659P Mrs. Janey Duffey Rector, 67, of Granite Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice. She was born in Caldwell County on March 7, 1950 to the late Willard and Virginia Duffey. Mrs. Rector was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother with a strong, unfaltering faith. She was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church in Hickory and had worked many years in textiles. She is survived by her husband, Tony Rector; daughter’s Tammy Franklin; Tonya Dinofrio and husband, John; Angela Hull and husband, Chad; step-children, Thad Rector and wife, Samantha; Tina Herron and husband, Jamie; brother, Jimmy Duffey and wife, Candy; sister, Linda Livingston and husband, Derrick; brother, William Duffey; grandchildren, John Joseph, Nicholas and Anna Marie Dinofrio; Abigail and Alec Hull; step-grandchildren, Liam and Emma Rector; Zachary, Joshua and Deanna Herron; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Mrs. Rector’s life will be held at Mt. View Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 5:00 PM with Pastor John Compton officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 5:00 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
