Jane Main

Rebecca Jane Hodges Main, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Watauga County on April 5, 1938, to the late Paul Hodges and Lillian Shores Hodges. She was married to Joseph Ronda Main of the home.

Jane was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She loved to laugh and she loved her church, West Lenoir Baptist Church, where she also sang in the choir. She was a faithful partner to her loving husband, Ron. There was no project too big for them to accomplish together.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Philip Bradford; brother, James Hodges; and her sister, Jean Eggers.

Other than her husband, Jane is survived by her daughter, Laura Mazyck(Landon); sons, Bill Bradford (Susan); Mike Bradford; step-daughter, Anita Dyson; sister, Joann Crump; sister-in-law, Lou Hodges; grandchildren, Becca Bradford (Cameron), Sydney George (Darin); Emily Harrison; Maggie Harrison; Andrew Bradford; Caroline Clabaugh (Paxton); great-granddaughters, Selene Bradford; Grey George; great-grandsons, Oliver George; Quincy George; special nieces, Norma Adisey (Buddy) and Donna Younce (Joel); numerous other nieces and nephews; and her caregivers, Dottie Franklin, and special friends, Carolyn Turner, Brenda Maye.

The family would like to pay a special thanks to Carolina Caring, and especially Valerie and Justine. They would also like to thank the numerous folks that have visited, brought food, contacted the family and the countless prayers.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at West Lenoir Baptist Church on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rick Safriet and Pastor James McCoury officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service.
