Jamie Roberts

Hudson, NC- Jamie Ruth Harmon Roberts, age 88, died peacefully on February 18, 2022 at the Shaire Center in Lenoir. Born October 21, 1933 in Watauga County, Mrs. Roberts was a daughter of the late George Calvin and Ruth Mae Tester Harmon. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Marcus Ivey Roberts, three brothers Owen (Bill), Baxter and Hansel Harmon, and one sister, Margie Harmon Thomas. Mrs. Roberts retired from Pacemaker Furniture, Broyhill Industries and attended Mount Hermon Methodist Church in Hudson. She is survived by his children, Dr. Debra Templeton and husband Dr. Dennie Templeton, III of Hickory Linda "Kay" Swanson and husband Wayne Swanson of Granite Falls and Mark Roberts and his wife Kim Roberts of Lenoir.Also surviving are her Grandchildren, Chadwick "Chad" Swanson and his wife Sandra of Platte City, Missouri, Lee Swanson and his wife Tara of Granite Falls, Colby and Tyler Roberts of Lenoir and two Great-Grandchildren Isaac Swanson of Orange County, California and Reagan Swanson of Granite Falls.She is also survived by seventeen nieces and nephews. A grave site service will be held on Monday, February 21 at 3:00 pm at Mount Hermon United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mount Hermon United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 625 Hudson, NC 28637 or Yokefellow of Caldwell County, P.O. Box 2422 Lenoir, NC 28645. The family wishes to express their gratitude to her loving caregivers at Shaire. We are eternally grateful for the kindness and compassion you provided to our mother.
