Jamie Michael Barrett

Jamie Barrett, 49, passed away on October 18, 2021 at UNC Healthcare of Lenoir. Jamie was born on May 30, 1972, in Caldwell County, to the late James and Carole Barrett. Jamie was married to Karen Barrett of Caldwell County. Jamie was an avid fisherman and loved being on the lake. Jamie loved to spend time antique shopping, even going out of state looking for the next great find. Jamie will be known as a hard working man, a loving father and grandfather, a caring husband, and a beloved brother. In addition to his parents, Jamie is preceded in death by his two brothers: Jesse Barrett and Jimmy Barrett, and a sister: Eunice McWaters. He is preceded in death by his niece Misty Miller. In addition to his wife, Jamie is survived by his daughters: Emma Cornett and husband Brandon and Kim Felch and husband Austin. Jamie is survived by his step-son, Cody Shepherd. He is survived by his grandchildren: Mailynn, Memphis, Montgomry, and Mayson Cornett. Jamie is survived by his two sisters: Brenda Blankenship (Tim) and Renee Hayes. The family will have a gathering of friends at Evans Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from the hours of 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
