Jamey Edward Conley

Jamey was born on October 8, 1970, to the late Shirley Conley Grant.

In addition to his mother, Jamey is preceded in death by his father, Apostle Marvin Grant; and sister, Markrish Grant.

Those left to cherish Jamey’s memory are his wife, Amanda Conley; children, Lashae, Dathan, Nehemiah, Janiah; grandchildren, Dante, Harmony; stepmother, Cecelia Grant; sisters, Devondra Grant, Rarshal Thornton, Charlene Camp, Sherry Davis; brothers, Corey Grant; Marvin Grant Jr., Robert Davenport III, CoyRay Foxx; nieces, Jazlynn Daniels, Deandrea Hemphill; nephews, Isaiah Daniels, Tayevion Daniels, Devon Daniels, Josiah Grant, Isaac Hemphill, Isaiah Hemphill; biological father, James Earl Davis; numerous other relatives.

Jamey and Amanda met at A Gate Called Beautiful Church.  When Amanda seen Jamey, she knew he was going to be her husband, love at first sight.

Jamey was a wonderful husband, he was by Amanda’s side for doctor visits, grocery store, and everywhere.  They were inseparable best friends with an unbreakable bond.

Jamey was always humble, kind, gracious, and always had a smile on his face.  His laughter was contagious.  Jamey was a wonderful husband, father, and friend.  Jamey enjoyed lifting weights.  Spending time with his grandbabies always made his day.  Jamey attended Sand Mountain Community Church where he loved fellowshipping with others.

Jamey was loved by everyone who knew him.  He will be missed beyond words.

A service to celebrate Jamey's life will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Covenant Church in Hudson with Pastor Clint Coffey officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Covenant Church in Hudson on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.  Burial will follow at Blue Memorial Park in Lenoir.
