James Workman

Lenoir – James Harvey Workman, age 76, of Lenoir passed away at Caldwell Hospice of Hudson on August 19, 2018. James was born on March 2, 1942 to the late James Henderson Workman and Clara Gragg Workman in Cleveland County. James was married 37 years to Mary Workman. James worked for Broyhill Pacemaker Plant for 27 years. James had a passion for racing, building cars, and working on cars. James was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his brother David Workman. James is survived by his wife, Mary Workman and his children: James Workman Jr, wife Anita; Mary Jane Ekard; Michelle Workman; Amy Jones; Shannon Starnes; John Workman, wife Keysha; and Amanda Moore, husband Brandon. James is survived by his sister Joyce Lutz and husband Bruce. James is, also, survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Harris Chapel Baptist Church on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street NW Lenoir, NC 28645.
