James Woods

Lenoir, NC- Mr. James Granville Woods, age 72, of Lenoir, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at his home. Born February 17, 1944 in Caldwell County, James was a son of the late James Willard and Mamie Hall Woods. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the Meadowbrook Baptist Church. He had worked in the furniture industry for over 40 years and was a simple man. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, JT Woods, Bob Woods and Harold Woods; and a sister, Muriel Robbins. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Wilcox Woods of the Home; his children, Renea Grigg (husband Vince) of Hudson and Jim Woods (wife Wendy) of Collettsville; a sister, Brenda Lail (husband Jack) of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Abbi Griffin (husband Phil), Kaitlyn Handy Burgess (husband Nick), Olivia Woods, Spencer Grigg (wife Magan), and Chance Martin; James is survived by numerous other relatives.
