James 'Jimmy' William Greene

Lenoir, NC – James (Jimmy) “Dowat” William Greene, age 46, of Lenoir, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.Born November 24, 1967 in Caldwell County, Jimmy was a son of Larry Malcolm and Thelma Shore Greene and the husband of Amy Townsend Greene. Jimmy was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church.He was an avid deer and coon hunter.He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his children. He is preceded in death by a sister, Dawn Greene. Other than his parents and wife, he is survived by 3 children, Montana McCreary and fiancé’ Cheyenne; Colorada Greene, Indiana Greene; 3 sisters, Paula Greene, Michelle Evans and husband Brian, Aimee Smith and husband Derrick; 2 brothers, Malcolm Greene and wife Amy; Edward Greene and wife Angelique, all of Lenoir; one grandson, Silas McCreary and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 29, 2014 at Yadkin Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Livingston and Reverend Paul Gentry officiating.Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be:Derrick Ward, Todd Puett, Jozy Philyaw, Roger Townsend, Jeff Hamby and Greg Elrod.
