James Vester Setzer

Mr. James “Jimmy” Setzer, age 71, of Hudson passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Hickory Falls Nursing and Rehab in Granite Falls. Born December 17, 1947 in Caldwell County, Jimmy was a son of the late Grady Vestal and Nellie Mae Price Setzer.Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing.He will be remembered as having an outgoing personality and never met a stranger.He was Baptist by faith.In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Setzer and Ray Price; and two sisters, Linda Bays and Louise “Toodie” Parson. Survivors include a daughter, Kim Setzer of Collettsville; two grandsons, Ethan Caldwell and Dillon Caldwell both of Collettsville; two sisters, Doris Kirby of Hudson and Ginger Marley of Moravian Falls; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
