James Stanley Taylor

Hudson, NC – Mr. James “Jim” Stanley Taylor, age 49, of Hudson, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson, surrounded by his family and friends.  Jim was born December 20, 1961 in Caldwell County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janette Winecoff Taylor. Jim was a member of Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church and employed by Bemis Mfg. of Lenoir. He loved fishing, hunting, swimming and gardening. He was also an Eagle Scout and had a creative nature and enjoyed tinkering and inventing things. Jim was a graduate of South Caldwell High School and Caldwell Community College where he had received his Associate in Applied Science Degree in Machine Shop/Tool and Die and his Associate in Applied Science in Web Technologies. He is survived by his wife Teressa Arney Taylor, of the home; his two children, James Stanley Taylor, II and Sara Janette Taylor, both of the home; his father Robert “Rob” Edward Taylor and wife Vivian Walsh Taylor of Lenoir, 3 sisters, Jane Taylor Black and husband John of Granite Falls, his twin sister, Jean Taylor Lael and husband Scott of Conover, June Taylor of Lenoir and his brother, Robert “Bob” Edward Taylor, Jr. and wife Teresa of Harrisburg. A service celebrating Jim’s life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Nicky Waters and Reverend Trudy Irving officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Keith Scruggs, Chuck Triplett, Lee Haggist, CJ Curtis, James Miller and Greg Brooks.
