James Mcneill

Salisbury- James Howard McNeil, age 76, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on February 28, 1945 to the late John Albert McNeil and Norma James McNeil. He was a veteran of the United States Army. James enjoyed performing karaoke for seniors at retirement communities and fishing with his brother, Dale. He was an avid fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks primarily because he was a fan of Madison Bumgarner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his favorite niece, Sandra McNeil. He is survived by his son, Charles McNeil of Murrells Inlet, SC; sisters, Dawn Boyd and Janet Austin; brother, Dale McNeil; grandchildren, Trevor McNeil and Matthew McNeil; his girlfriend, Janice Godwin; and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Caldwell Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC28645.
