James Hartley

Lenoir – Mr. James Douglas Hartley, 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 19th 2018. Mr. Hartley was born October 11th, 1940 in Lenoir, NC to the late Philip Carl Hartley and Emma Bolick Hartley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Lyle Hartley. He is survived by his wife, Mae Hartley, sons Kirk Hartley and wife Melissa, Stoney Hartley and wife Leta; sisters, Edith Smith, Betty Lovins, Ruby Beard, Shirley Davis and Louise Robbins; 5 grandchildren; RichardHartley, Jennifer Crisp, Patrick Hartley, Jamie Travis and Rebecca Hartley; and 8 great-grandchildren. James Hartley was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and great-grandfather.He had a passion for fishing and woodworking and was a member of Flemings Chapel Baptist Church. A graveside service for Mr. Hartley will be at Flemings Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 5:00 PM.
