James Clifton Eller

Lenoir, NC- Mr. James Clifton “J.C.” Eller, age 85 of Lenoir, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born January 19, 1925 in Caldwell County, Mr. Eller was a son of the late Richard and Maude Conway Eller and the husband of Christine Stallings Eller, of the home, to whom they have shared 61 years of marriage. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Eller. Mr. Eller was a member of Whitnel United Methodist Church for 60 years and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII in the South Pacific. He had worked as a car salesman for Rooster Bush for more than 20 years. Surviving other than his wife are two children, Rob Eller and wife Debbie and Scott Eller and wife Tamara all of Hudson and two grandchildren, Abby and Drew Eller. A celebration of Mr. Eller’s life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Whitnel United Methodist Church with Reverend W. Leon Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 at Evans Funeral Service & Crematory.
