James Edward Dillard

 Hickory, NC- Mr. James “Jim” Edward Dillard, age 38, of Hickory, died March 26, 2009 at his home. Jim was born June 6, 1970 in Portsmouth, VA. He attended Huntington Hills Church of God in Hickory. Jim was a multi-talented musician whose passion was to share his gift with others. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Tempe Booth Dillard.Jim is survived by his wife, Dawn Little Dillard, of the home; his father, Jack Dillard, Sr. and wife Daisy of Greensboro; one brother, Jack “Jay” Dillard, Jr. and wife Lynn of Kings Creek; two sisters, Deborah Nealy Teeters and husband Lanny Earl of Lenoir; Lisa Michelle Wright of Catawba; two nephews, David W. Marshall of Lenoir; Joshua Wright of Hillsville, VA; two nieces, Amy Pattison-Blackwell of Newport News, VA; Jamie Bellflowers of Kings Creek and his English Mastiff companion, Tera and numerous other relatives.A celebration of Jim’s life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the Kings Creek Ruritan Building on Hwy 18 in Kings Creek.Memorials may be made to New Life Mobility Dogs, PO Box 659, Moravian Falls, NC 28654.Online condolences may be sent to the Dillard Family at www.evansfuneralservice.comEvans Funeral Service of Lenoir is serving the Dillard Family.
