James "Billy" Watson

James (Billy) W. Watson, Jr. Lenoir-James (Billy) W. Watson, Jr., age 64, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.He was born June 16, 1953 in Lenoir, NC to the late James and Evelyn Watson. Billy was a photographer who loved taking pictures.He spent several years donating his time taking photographs of the participants at the Special Olympics in NC.He loved playing the guitar and painting.His passions were fishing, hunting and going to the beach. Billy was a fun-loving man with a hearty laugh.His generosity and compassion for his fellow man was unmatched.He was Christian who loved God. He is survived by his wife, Dana Nelson; sister Gayle Coffey and husband Barry Coffey and sister, Pamela Lackey; a number of nieces and nephews and one grand-nephew and two grand-nieces. A memorial service for Mr. Watson will be held at Central Baptist Church in Whitnel on Sunday, December 10 at 2:00 PM with retired Pastor John Jernigan officiating.
