James Leroy Barrett

Lenoir, NC- Mr. James “Jimmy” Leroy Barrett, age 49, of Lenoir, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at his home. Born February 4, 1964 in Chambersburg, PA, Jimmy was a son of the late James Houston and Carole Hettenschuller Barrett. Jimmy had worked in the furniture industry and had attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Lenoir and The Chapel of Hope. Jimmy is survived by his brother, Jamie Barrett and wife Karen; his three sisters, Eunice McWaters and husband Randy; Brenda Blankenship and husband Tim; Susan Rector; his two K-9 friends, TJ and Kayla; several nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives. A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 22, 2013 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Elder William Cogdell, Pastor Mike Spicer and Pastor David Beane officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
