Jackie Wilson Martin

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Jackie Wilson Martin, age 56, died October 31, 2016 following a brief illness. He was born in Caldwell County to Jack Martin and Margaret (Moore) Martin Jensen. Mr. Martin is preceded in death by his father and paternal grandparents, Avery Wilson Martin and Ethel (Laney) Martin and maternal grandparents, Ralph Moore and Lottie Merle (Coffey) Moore Hensley. Mr. Martin worked at Fairfield Chair #2 for 30 years. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Niels Jensen of Wildwood, FL and his wife, Amparo Osorio of the home. He will be missed by his three children: Erica Terry, Matthew Martin and David Valencia (Maria) of Lenoir, his six grandchildren; Macey, Alisza, Lanna, Phoenix, Sofia and Ariana. Mr. Martin is also survived by sisters: Sheila Myroon (Ron) of Alberta, Canada, Debby (Anne) of Kernersville and Judy Billings (Jeff) of Statesville. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 4, 2016 at 5:00 PM at the Walking By Faith Baptist Church, 2980 Playmore Beach Road, Lenoir with Pastor Marvin Ford officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Caldwell County Hospice at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
