Jack Carlton Estep, 81, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis at Amorem Hospice Facility in Hudson, NC. Jack was born on February 7, 1941 to the late Carlton and Louise Estep. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dolores Roper Estep; sons, Craig and wife Laura Estep, Neil and wife Michele Estep; daughters, Angie and husband Greg Vite, Linda Greene, and Lisa Martin; sisters, Bonnie and husband Don Foltz, Carla and husband Denny Smith; brother-in-laws, Don and wife Jessie Roper, Randy and wife Rita Roper; grandchildren, Tess Estep, Leah Estep, Sam Vite, Elizabeth and husband Kaleb Klopfenstein, Jake and wife Elyse Vite, Caleb and wife Emma Vite, Cora and husband Austin Stansell, Lucy Estep, Jacqueline Estep, Tiffany and husband Ethan Ostwalt, Jake Greene, Elizabeth O’Neil and Hannah O’Neil; great grandchildren, Josie, Lilly, Theodore Klopfenstein, Vivian and Henry Vite, Rosemary Vite, Aaralyn and Rosie Stansell, Tate and Silas Ostwalt, Zach and Landon Williams. Jack was vice president of Clark Equipment Company for twenty plus years prior to owning William Morris and Sons Construction Company in Ionia Michigan. He attended College Avenue Baptist Church in Lenoir. He was an avid golfer and previously served as president of the Lenoir Golf Club. Jack loved all sports, hunting, being outdoors, playing cards and helping others. Jack also served The Red Cross and drove the school bus for local schools. To those of you who knew Jack well, “keep smiling, no matter what”. A 2:00PM Memorial Service to honor Jack Carlton Estep will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Evans Funeral Service Chapel in Lenoir. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM to 2:00PM. The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Amorem Hospice Facility at 902 Kirkwood St. Lenoir NC 28645.
