Jack Parlier Elrod

Jack Parlier Elrod, age 85, of Lenoir, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 17, 2020 at his residence.He was born February 5, 1935 in Caldwell County to the late George and Etta Parlier Elrod.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Claudia White; siblings, Frank, Walt, Howard, Neeley, Ruth, Mabel, and Edith. Survivors include his wife of 37 years Virginia (Ginger) Elrod; daughters, Diana Dalton (Mark), Karen Martinelle, Kathy Butler, Cindy Greene (David), Melinda Abts (Ron), Kym Smith and Andrea White; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Valmead and was a United States Army Veteran.He enjoyed playing the banjo for the Lord at church and in nursing homes.He was retired from Fairfield Chair Company. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Liberty Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Dewey Bristol. Family request visitors to please wear masks.
