Jack Eller

Jack Eller Hudson- Mr. Edgar Jackson Eller, “Pop”, age 90, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care of Lenoir. He was born June 11, 1928 in Wilkes County to the late Lawrence and Nora Hutchinson Eller. Mr. Eller was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Norma Phillips Eller, who died on November 24, 2018. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Fraye, John, Leo, Rex and Paul Eller; sister, Eula Mae Johnson; and granddaughter-in-law, April Wilcox. Jack was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Ferguson and retired from Lenoir Mirror Company after 47 years of service. He also worked part-time for Griffith Security for 30 years. Survivors include his daughters, Christine Eller Wilcox; Virginia Eller Hartley and husband, Brent; grandchildren, Jeff Wilcox and Beth Hartley; great-grandsons, Austin Wilcox and wife, Brenda; and Landon Hartley- Hargis; sister, Peggy Anderson of Ferguson; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held for Mr. Eller at Mount Zion Baptist Church, of Ferguson, on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Jessie Bowman and Michael Phillips officiating. Interpreter will be Tracy McLean. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care of Lenoir.
