Jack Everette Bolick, Sr.

Jack Everette Bolick, Sr., age 76, passed peacefully at Amorem on Febraury 1, 2023. He was born in Watauga County on August 9, 1946 to the late Fred Bolick and Lois Baird Bolick. He was married to Paula Philyaw of the residence for 39 years. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a paratrooper. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed softball and basically any sports, particularly watching the Washington Redskins. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly. Jack was a member of Calvary Advent Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Scott Bolick, Sr.; sisters, Verla Bolick; Lucy Gray; and brothers, James Bolick and Don Bolick. Other than his wife, Jack is survived by his children, Jack E. Bolick, Jr.; Regina Wallace; Christina Sparks; and Michael Triplett; and numerous grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Rebecca Mitchum and Judy McLean. A memorial service celebrating Jack’s life will be held at Calvary Advent Christian Church on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jim Lee officiating. Military Honors will be presented. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 prior to the service.
