Collettsville, NC ? Mr. J.C. Wright, age 75, of Collettsville, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at his home. Born January 3, 1935 in Caldwell County, Mr. Wright was a son of the late Arvil Grady and Bertha Naomi Beane Wright and the husband of Mrs. Rebecca Vines Wright to whom he was married for 54 years. Mr. Wright was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church and was a lover of the outdoors. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Wright. Surviving other than his wife are his 8 children, Martha Bowman and husband Terry of Collettsville; Christine Coffey and husband Sammy of Collettsville; Kimberly Mitchell and husband Louis of Lenoir; Phyllis Gragg and husband Richard of Collettsville; Keith Wright and wife Gina of Lenoir; Kurt Wright of Collettsville; Iris Whitt and husband Darren of Lenoir and Tina Keller and husband Charlie of Lenoir; 2 sisters, Bobbie Vines of Lenoir; Helen Vines and husband Floyd of Collettsville; two brothers, Thomas Wright of Collettsville and Glen Wright of Granite Falls; 18 Grandchildren and numerous Great-Grandchildren. A celebration of Mr. Wright?s life will be held 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Roger Derreberry officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, prior to the service at Evans Funeral Service. The family respectfully requests memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
