Ivagaye Scott Davenport 70, of Lenoir left this world to go to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 3rd 2018 while surrounded by her family. Born in Wilcoe West Virginia on July 11, 1948 , she was daughter of the late Wade Junior Scott and Clara Mae Starling Scott. Ivagaye was a member of Peoples Tabernacle where Bishop Michael Sloan and First Lady reside. She loved the lord, family and friends. Iva did not meet a stranger, she would wave at anyone that would wave or talk back and also help anybody in need. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to anyone. She will be greatly missed by all. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank Robert Davenport and sister Carolyn Joyce Scott. Those left to cherish her memory are three sisters Margret Grimes of Lenoir, Breatrice Joyce Scott, Ny Ny and Cheryee White Shareef (Chareffis) of Buffalo NY; 7 children Douglas Regan Scott, wife VolnettaKaylen Scott of Hickory, Milton Tyrone Scott Hoke, and Derek Shun Scott of Lenoir, four daughters Clara Roxanne Scott (John) of Lenoir, Gloria Margret Davenport (Grant) of Wilkesboro, Dawn Tesha Denise Davenport (Normal) of Lenoir and Joyce Janetta Bradley Davenport and husband Timothy Bradley. Also, four step children Terry Davenport and wife Lisa Davenport, Roderick Davenport, Pam Davenport, Tammy Watson and husband Henry Watson; 38 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, uncles, cousins, and friends. Iva worked as a caregiver, furniture factory, restaurants, cleaning houses, and raising family. The family will receive friends and family at 422 Vance Street, Wednesday until 5:00pm then a service will be held for Ivagaye and family at Peoples Tabernacle, 412 NW Collet Place, Lenoir.
