Isaiah Ferree passed away at 14 years young on Friday, March 11, 2022. He was a brilliant and talented athlete and musician, and a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Scott and Renee, as well as his sister, Evelyn, his brothers, Owen and Uriah, his grandparents, Gary and Sherri Vickers and Scott and Crystal Ferree, his great-grandparents Ken and Patsy Brown and Pauline McClellan, uncles, aunts, cousins, great and great-great uncles and aunts, and countless friends that are considered family. His dog, Rocky, will also miss him and his hugs dearly… He attended West Caldwell High School where he was an Honors student, played football, was on the wrestling team, and was in the band. He also spent a great deal of his time playing basketball and selflessly volunteering for all of the Gamewell Optimist sports programs. He enjoyed playing basketball with his dad any opportunity he had, whether it be in a game, on the street with his brothers and sister, or a pick-up game at the rec. He was also an avid shoe collector, enjoyed listening to and playing all types of music, and loved going fishing whenever he could. Isaiah touched and loved so many people, and was loved by many more. He was always happy and encouraging to everyone he met. Isaiah had a deep love for his family and loved spending time together. He lit up any room he walked in with his big smile and kind heart. Despite his God given gift of showing love and kindness to everyone he met, inside Isaiah was privately battling an indescribable pain. He succumbed to the silent illness of depression, and took his own life in our home. He is no longer in pain, but left us all here and we will never be the same again. We know he is now forever without pain and is at rest in God’s arms. Although Isaiah’s passing came as a shock and has brought sadness to so many people, we do not wish for that to be his legacy. He was an amazing young man and touched so many of us in a positive and profound way. Please join us as we celebrate the life of this incredible boy. We will hold a visitation at Waterlife Church on Thursday, March 17 from 4-6pm, followed by a memorial service. All are welcome. A special memory box will be available and we encourage all who feel led to write letters to Isaiah or just write and share your favorite memories to place in the box.
