Mrs. Iris “Ann” Hart Baldwin, age 79, of Lenoir went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. Born January 20, 1940 in Caldwell County, Iris was a daughter of the late George and Mary Hart.Ann worked in the Sample department and sewing department at Fairfield Chair for over 42 years.She had a love for sewing and making things for people.Ann was a member of Zack’s Fork Baptist Church, where she served as a ladies Sunday School teacher for many years.She loved taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Over the last few years, she rekindled her love for crocheting and made many blankets to leave behind her memory.In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years David H. Baldwin, Jr. and all of her brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, Michael “Mike” Hartley of Springfield, OH, James Wayne Warren of Vietnam, Jody David Baldwin (wife Christy) of Lenoir, Malia Baldwin Kirby of Lenoir and the love of her life, Amanda Leah Baldwin of the Home; her grandchildren, Josh Baldwin (wife Jasmine), Eain Kirby (wife Jordan), Jordan Fisher, Mackenzie Baldwin, Chyannaand Courtney Hartley; her sunshine, Deacon Lain Kirby and her little toot toot, Finley Grace Kirby; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Ann’s life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Zack’s Fork Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Baldwin and Pastor Eain Kirby officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC28645.
