Ina June Laxton

Lenoir, NC – Mrs. Ina June Laxton, age 76, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012. She was born April 19, 1935 in Ashe County to the late Oscar and Lella Perry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband of 52 years, Eugene C. Laxton; three sisters, Velva Ruth Perry, Faye Pollard, and Reba Blevins; three brother, Eugene Wayne and Howard Perry; daughter-in-law, Althea Laxton. She was a homemaker and had attended Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include two sons, Tony Laxton of Taylorsville and Marty Laxton of the home. A sister, Pauline Clark of Independence,VA; cousins, Junior Woodie and wife Louise of Elkton, MD and Bernard Woodie and wife Irene of West Jefferson, NC; a brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Peggy Laxton and a number of nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Laxton’s life will be held at Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Keith Gilliam and Pastor David Crisp. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
